‘STAЯSTUFF’ is a multi-platform exploration into superheavy elements, specifically those created at the Flerov laboratory in Dubna, Russia. The base format of the project is a short magazine compiled from an informal interview with, the award-winning, science journalist Kit Chapman. Kit Chapman specialises in superheavy elements and has visited the laboratory himself. The magazine follows the interview through illustrated stills in a printed format, but also boasts a QR code on the front cover which links to an animated digital version of the document. My future focuses lie within editorial illustration with my main attraction as scientific articles. I’d like to illustrate the invisible and unattainable and help my viewer gain a more coherent understanding of complicated sciences through engaging visuals.
